1882… May 2 (Tuesday)…

 
 
 

 

The Plattsburgh Sentinel of Friday May 5, 1882 reports “Again we are mantled with about one inch of snow, making the appearance of mid-winter,notwithstanding it is May 2d.—The ice in Chazy Lake still holds thefort, and is likely to remain so, unless thereis a change in the weather in this section.—Notwithstanding all the ice, snow andcold, E. D. McKillip has opened the Chazy Lake House and is making grand preparation for a large summer business. Give him a call.”

1908… April 26 (Saturday)… 

The Plattsburgh Sentinel reported on Friday, May 1, 1908 that the ice went out “with a rush” on the previous Saturday night. (nnyln.net)
