Julia Cumm was the cousin of Father Moses Minnie. Parts of the Cumm family use the Anglicized form (Cumm) and others use the French form (Viens). The Viens and the Cumms both married into King/Roy and other families related to the Kings. Virginia Minnie, Father Minnie’s mother was Virginia Coulbron (De Courberon), sister to Emma (Coulbron) King and the wife of Andre Minie. The mother of Virginia and Emma was Marie Coulumbe, thus the cousin relationship between Father Minnie and Julia Cumm.

I noticed the name “Eroh” in the Cumm obit. There was an Eroh who lived a ways south of Cadyville. Dad said that he was a relative but didn’t say how. I met him once when he came to the Grove. Earlier, Dad would hire him to process our recently butchered pigs into ham and bacon.
